In the wake of disastrous flooding across Queensland, I will be raising money for relief efforts. This fund raising is in addition to the charities already benefiting from my swim. My thoughts are with the communities that are now also being battered by Cyclone Yasi.
The Gold Company has promised $100 dollars per Bondi Beach Lap, and if you want to add to this fundraising effort please either contact me or visit my fundraising page at myCause.com.au

Father of two and professional architect, Gary has set himself the arduous but exciting challenge of swimming the English channel next year. Gary, who describes himself as “not a swimmer”, has set himself the task of swimming the “Everest of swims”, precisely because of the challenge it affords – “I think only 500 odd people have ever made the solo swim”. He also wants underprivileged children to benefit from his swim, and pledges made for his swim will be donated to charities that help children. At present he is swimming a mile per day at the Bondi Icebergs in Sydney Australia, and plans to increase this to swim across Bondi Bay 10 times, and then increase the distance as required.
